What is the difference between bluetooth and a wireless head-set?

I've heard many people say that they are talking on a bluetooth. I know Bluetooth is the technology used in many cellular phones but I people are confused about it. I try to convince people that they aren't talking on a Bluetooth. Instead, you are using a wireless head-set. So, I need some additional information.

You said you wanted more info so here it is, Bluetooth was named after a dutch king who sought to unite his country, when some geeks came up with the technology to simply encrypt and send data short distance they thought that it could unite the phone and computers. So they named it after that king, And besides if they named it black tooth they would just assume they were talking about some Hick or bum. Hope this helps

I’ve never heard anyone calling a wireless headset a bluetooth but that would be the same thing. However, bluetooth is also used for file transfers (like pictures from the phone and transfering ringtones to the phone) and for things like updating notes and calendars.
