USB dongles?

This gives my computer the ability to have bluetooth which i know some computers already have. But is it safe, could somebody nearby hack into a computer because of this bluetooth feature and what ways can you protect it.
Is this also true with a wireless internet?

    you can’t hack into a computer through bluetooth, but someone could steal your wifi

    Bluetooth is slow and low powered for hacking but may be good enough for planting a virus. Wifi is safe if you properly configure the security features.
